Welcome! I’m Joseph Rearick, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts, dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. With experience across various clinical settings, I use evidence-based approaches to support clients in achieving their unique goals. Through telehealth psychotherapy, I provide compassionate, research-backed care for those facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and substance use concerns.
My approach is rooted in empathy and empowerment, integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Psychodynamic therapy to help clients develop emotional resilience, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful change. My work is informed by trauma and attachment theories, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic experience. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Boston College and completed a postgraduate Fellowship in Behavioral Health at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, part of Atrius Health. Currently, I am also a fellow at the Psychodynamic Couple and Family Institute of New England, further deepening my expertise in relational dynamics.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me enjoying the great outdoors, spending quality time with my family, or adventuring with my energetic Australian Shepherd, Clyde. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
